WALT retell a Maori Legend
THE GIANT Swan
In Napier one day in New Zealand there lived a girl named Mia. Mia had a great friend his name was Myra.mera loved Mia he would give up anything just to see her.
One day Mia went missing Mera told everyone to look for her they didn't find her anywhere mera didn't give up he went hunting with his dad he thought maybe that dirty big swan took her Mira said.
Mera did not talk he Knew he probably let her down but he still keep on going because he loved mia.
Mera did what he wanted he saved his love from the swan he thought let me not kill it now save it for some other day at night Mera was sleeping from his big adventure when he was sleeping the town folks wanted him to kill the swan for good
So when Mira was awake they made his true love tell him so he would kill him it worked all the town folks said.
So he got his sword out went right to the beach and said any last words swan he stabbed the swan right in the heart the swan blew up and made a ditch in the sand by the water the call it swans heart Mia and mera lived a happy life together the end.
